Why Tech Requests are Better Than Kidnapping Me
I am writing this to let you know the importance of District Tech Requests and how they can benefit both you and me. I understand when you see me in the hall or another classroom and all of your tech problems flood your brain; you get the urge to assault me with every issue. But this is not always the best way: first I have to avoid hallways and classrooms for fear of being kidnapped into another classroom, second I don’t have the authority to fix every problem, third I can’t remember every request though I try.
For all of these reasons District Tech Requests was invented! How to submit tech Requests (video).
By submitting a Tech Request I am able to do my job more efficiently and quicker. When a Tech Request comes in I am able to evaluate the urgency and make more important issues a priority. Also the entire district tech staff can view the requests which is important because I don’t have the ability/authority to do many things in FirstClass, Read Naturally and many other programs. They also have years of experience and knowledge that can help solved your issue quicker than me trying to figure it out myself. In addition because GW is so spread out by sending Tech Requests I am able to be prepared with wires, cables and tools to fix your problem without having to waste time walking back to my room. Lastly, Tech Requests are how I got hired. Tech Requests are one way of identifying a schools needs, tech use, and issues with new or old technology.
By sending Tech Requests it frees me up to put the important requests first, be prepared, walk safely down the hallways, and resolve your issues quicker with the help of many district techs. It is a win-win situation. So instead of emailing me just email District Tech Requests and then we will have world peace.
